Commenting after the debate, James Evans MS for Brecon & Radnorshire said:

It is regrettable that the Welsh Government will not use all available levers to better support small businesses in Wales and safeguard our future.

Small businesses define the economic and cultural landscape of my constituency of Brecon and Radnorshire.

I’m pleased that the Welsh Conservatives could mark Small Business Saturday given that last year it is estimated that consumers contributed over £770 million to small businesses. I also wanted to highlight the impact of small business extends beyond economic, they are champions of sustainability and community engagement; choosing to shop local is an investment in our community’s future.
