My Plan for Better Healthcare in Wales

Its time for bold action and real results.  Our frontline staff work their socks off but it is the systems and the high level management of the NHS that is letting us all down.  The staff deserve better, patients deserve better and I will deliver that change! Watch my speech.

The Labour and Liberal Democrat supported Welsh Government have proven they can’t be trusted to manage our NHS, removing services and neglecting rural Wales. Patients are waiting too long for operations, too long for treatments.  Compared to England, Wales' performance is dire! Since becoming Shadow Minister for Health & Social Care in Dec 2024, I have met with countless organisations to seek views, their knowledge and their ideas on how to fix our broken healthcare system in Wales.

At Welsh Conservative Conference in May 2025, I set out my vision for better healthcare in Wales.   If the Welsh Conservatives are elected in 2026 to form a Government, I would

*guarantee a GP appointment within 7 working days

*An end to 12+ months waits for treatment.

*No more bloated management in the NHS

*A review of the NHS Structure

*Value our carers and pay them more
